How to configure the Rx system that can be charged with own Tx system

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-00335

Hi,

My customer plan to design their own Tx and Rx system with non-Qi coil. And they want to charge their Rx system with only their own Tx, in other words they do not want to charge their Rx system with Qi Tx or Tx system in the market. Do you have any idea to achieve their requirement?

  • Hi,

I'm waiting for response. Please let me know if you can't understand what I'm asking.

  • Hi,

There are no specific guidelines for developing a non-Qi system.  Our products will work well in that condition.  The communication protocol and power transfer will remain the same.  For example, the TIDA-00335 transmitter follows all of the protocols, but since the TX coil is not a standard Qi coil, it is a non-Qi system.

Setting up a system as non-Qi allows for much more freedom in design of the the TX.  The development still begins with understanding the power level of the system and the physical design of the transmitter and receiver.

If there are specific questions about the system, we can provide more assistance.

    Dick

  • Hi Dick,

Let me explain my question again.

My customer plan to develop Tx and Rx by themselves and they want Rx to receive power from only their Tx. In other words, they do not want to charge their Rx with other Tx. Can we configure such system with TI's Tx and Rx devices?

    Best Regards,

    Sonoki

  • Hi Dick,

Can you give your comment for my question?
