Hello All,

Few days before i purchased TPS2511EVM-141 evaluation module . There they mention the input voltage ranges is 10volt to 20volt maximum. in this module TPS54240DGQ is used for regulating the voltage and i referred the datasheet of TPS54240DGQ there the input voltage range is 3.5v to 42v input. let me know reason for the TPS2511EVM-141 evaluation module maximum input voltage range is 20volt

The EVM recommended range is targeted at a 12V battery. You are right that going higher will not damage the EVM as the input caps are rated for 100V

Hi Satheesh,

Welcome to the E2E forums!

To add to Eric's comment, most of the input caps are rated to 100V (C6 and C7) but C2 for example is rated to 35V, so be careful to not operate too close to this voltage or otherwise remove or upgrade C2 appropriately.

can i apply 24v to the EVM it won't affect any component is it correct ?

Yes, it is OK to operate the EVM from 24VDC w/o any changes.
