LM22678-Q1 Output Shrt to GND

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM22678-Q1

Dear, Sir.

My customer has designed the power supply applying LM22678-Q1.

LM22678-Q1 was broken due to Output short to GND wihin quite short time

(It is depended on miss-operation by the customer).

Vin = 18V & Vout = 4 ~ 17V(adjustable using variable resistor)

Datasheet 12 page defines SOA, so it looks inside of SOA.

1) I wonder LM22678-Q1 has any kind of weakness against Output short to GND?

2) Please let me know if there is other suitable device.

Best Regards,

H. Sakai
