Hi team,

  My customer is looking for 380VAC to 20VDC/0.5A solution.

  I wonder if we have similar reference designs or TIDAs?

  Also, I want to promote solutions like UCC28740, UCC28704 and LM5022. Is there any concern of that? Thanks..

    Hello Patrick,

    Please check out PMP10129 on the TI website. This design is similar to your specs and uses LM5021, but the UCC28740 can be used with a similar circuit design. If this is for a single-output only, the UCC28704 can also be considered. As a PSR controller, it works best with a single output, although it can be used be used with multiple outputs but cross-regulation suffers. The transformer needs to be redesigned, of course, to the proper input and output voltages.
    Also, if the UCC28740 is chosen, be sure to connect the HV input to the bulk rail, not to the switching node, since the bulk can already be close to 600V and the rating of HV input is 700V.
    I don't think LM5022 is a good choice for this particular application.
