LM2621: LM2621

Part Number: LM2621

Dear,

I am using LM2621 on our product - Application: step up from 3.7V to  11V (Vout) with typical application - reference circuit.

But in the absolute maximum ratings table: BOOT pins - maximum: 10V. In typical application: BOOT pin is tied to VOut.

So with Vout = 11V. Is It OK ? If it is not - which configuration for Application with Vout = 11V. Thanks

Regards,

Tran Dinh Nguyen

  • HI Tran,

As stated in the abs max table of the datasheet the BOOT, VDD and EN pin should not be above 10V. If the pins are above this voltage damage to the IC can occur.

In application such as this the BOOT VDD and EN pins can be tied to the input voltage rail assuming that the voltage is high enough as specified in the datasheet. If not, the voltages should be supplied from and external supply.

    Thanks,

    Garrett
