TLC5940: Disabling constant current

Part Number: TLC5940
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54200

Hello all,

I am trying to find the best way to disable the constant current on the TLC5940. I am trying to drive some cheap (Ebay) 12V RGB led strips. The led strips have drop resistors for each set of 3 leds. Currently I am using MOSFETS (breadboard) to test the led strips. The MOSFETS are sinking the led strips. The idea I had was to use a PNP transistor, with its base tied to a TLC5940 output, Then the collector tied to the gate of a MOSFET.

What other options would I have?

Thanks

Anthony
