TLC5941 / using for constant current load

Hi,

I want to use TLC5941 for constant current load.
My idea is following;
- Constant current value is set by DC-register,
- GS-register value is set to max number,
- GSCLK input 1-pulse only.

Is my idea feasible?

Hello Kenneth,

I want to use this device for simple constant current sink that don't want to PWM operation.

"GSCLK input 1-pulse only" = "GS-counter > GSCLK Pulse Numbers"
I think, high side switch of constant-current-driver to be leave on state, this device can use for constant current sink circuit.

Is my idea feasible?

Hi,

It should be OK if you input one GSCLK.

But if you don't need PWM, why don't you choose ON/OFF led driver like TLC5923?
