TPS61028: pawer save mode

Part Number: TPS61028
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61098

HI,

I am checking the power save mode of TPS 61028.
For continuous mode and power save mode, the timing of the behavior of
these two modes is changed, what kind of conditions are there?
Is the output current lowered and the inductor current become discontinuous operation?

(specification)
VIN: 1 V to 3 V
VOUT: 2.8 V
IOUT: max 100 mA, the standby current is under consideration

Best Regards,

  • The device enter power save mode if the average inductor current is lower than half of the current ripple. you can refer to the datasheet to calculate the average inductor current and current ripple

you can have a look at the TPS61098 if you prefer ultra low IQ device.
