BQ27532-G1: How to know the source of SOC_INT pin

Hi there,

I am using BQ27532-G1 with bq24250 on our design, and we wanna use SOC_INT pin's interrupt to detect the battery removal and charging/ discharging mode also the battery low/ high remaining capacity.

But right now we can't distinguish between those interrupt source when SOC_INT generate the pulse, is there any way to solve that?

Hi Shiping,

Please refer to Table 6.8 of the TRM found at www.ti.com/.../sluub04.pdf

When the pulse is detected (an interrupt is thrown), check the respective registers in Table 6.8 to determine the source of the interrupt.

Thank you so much for your reply.

I have another issue here about the flags()'s "DSG" bit. When there is only battery connected with the board, i check flags() (0x0A, 0x0B) in debugging, the DSG bit is still not on. And I am sure the battery was discharged and the function i use to read is correct, what do you think might be the reason? Actually what is this 'DSG' bit based on, could you tell me some detail so i could check further?

Hi Shiping.
What did you set your discharge current threshold and quit current to? Pls refer to the TRM of the gauge for the definitions of those parameters and set them accouringly.

Hi Onyx,

One more question, if i wanna use the interrupt for "battery state mode", beside the "SOC delta" and "SOC_STATE", anything i should be careful with? Since i could see "DSG" flag changing now, but still no seeing interrupt for that.
