TLC5940: Dot correction of high power >1000ma LED array

I've used the TLC5940's dot correction with low power LEDs with success before. Would it be possible to use the TLC5940 to drive an N-FET with a high power LED >1000ma and reap the benefits of the built in dot correction? I have an LED array of four LEDs and need to produce a region of very uniform high intensity light. Is there an alternative product that would be more appropriate? The high power LED drivers I've found do not have dot correction.

Hi, Cappie,

Currently we don't have >1000mA device with dot correction. But you can try the solution of using TLC5940 to drive MOSFET or transistor to get such high current.

Hi Kenneth,

Thanks for the reply. I thought that dot correction wouldn't apply in the driven MOSFET scheme because it adjusts the I_max which would end up being the gate current. Is that correct? I think I am going to end up reducing my max current requirement to 500ma and use several TPS92511 in the analog dimming scheme.
