hello，

now ,I DOWNLOAD the lab1.XO into UCD3138CC64EVM-030:but i can not read the value of A_string;click "refresh",the value is always 0;

i have rebuided the lab1 project and can download the firmware SUCCESSFULLY ,and have load the pp file ,all operation finished by usb io interface.

in the same way,i,I DOWNLOAD the lab2 into UCD3138CC64EVM-030,i can not test the pwm siginal by osciloscope on tp12,tp13(dpwm-0A,dpwm-0B) ;

I FEEL THE UCD3138 does not run;

BESIDES ,project propoties configuration is selested as UCD3138 ACTIVE;

why?

You don't mention what you get after the download when you try clocking Device ID and Scan for Device in ROM mode on the main screen on the Device GUI. If you get a valid DEVICE ID when you click Device ID, the UCD is running.

However, based on what we see on this forum, I'll be you're getting a device in ROM mode. That's because everybody misses the requirement to:]

thank you for your reply.
after download the firmware,then click the DEVICEID ,in log windows,diaplay "no device found"in red line;
in the GUI ,"COMMAND ROM TO EXECUTE TIS PROGRAM "AND "COMMAND PROGRAM TO JUMP ROM" greys out
but i click scan in rom mode ,gui can find the device
now i am confusing the correct steps;can you tell me?

my steps are as follows:
1)open the UCD9xxx DEVIDE gui
2)CLICK SCAN DEVICE IN ROM,IN LOG WINDOW CAN SEEN "FONED ROM V2 ICXXX"IN GREEN COLOR;
3)CLICK FIRMWARE DOWNLOAD,THEN DOWNLOAD THE FIRMWARE,SELECT "DO NOT WRITE PROGRAM CHECKSUM";AFTER DOWNLOAD,IN DOWNLOAD LOG WINDOW DISPALY
"ROM V2 IC V3 DETECTED"CLOSE THE DOWNLOAD WINDOW;
NOW "COMMAND ROM TO EXECUTED ITS PROGAM"AND "COMMAND GROGRAM TO JUMP ROM "ARE GRAYED OUT.
4)click debug/memory debug ,select file /*.map,,click ok
5)find A_string,click refresh,A_string[0]-A_string[20] all are zeros;

It's going back to ROM mode because the fault3 pin is floating high. You need to take a jumper and pull it to ground.

thank you for your reply again.
power on UCD3138CC64EVM-030 ,then I ties the fault3 pin to Agnd according to your opions ,
the power come from usb to gpio adapter,besides i measures the v3.3 ,it is stable;
after download sucessfully,when i click debug/memory debuger,alarm message ocurrs:
feature not available
there is no rom connected.in addition,there is no device in program mode connected that the fusion toolset
supports(known DEVICE_ID).the memory debugger is therefore not available.
how can i do now?

TI FUSION DIGITAL POWER DESIGNER VERSION IS V7.0.21，UCD9XXX DEVICE GUI,WHY IS NOT IT UCD3XXX?

The gui is fusion digital power studio (not designer). On the top of the designer page there is a note saying studio is the GUI for uxd3138x family of devices. Here is the correct link:
