BQ24030: Need higher output current

Dear Sir,

I used the BQ24030 battery management module with the battery output voltage is 4.2V, 2A. Now I need the higher current rating. How can increase the current value above 3A ( In your datasheet noted maximum current value is 4A).

Can you describe your circuit and requirements in more detail?
Is it possible to change to a device with a switching regulator on the output?

Take a look at the bq24073 or 74 the OUT pin Current is 4.5A Recommended Operating Condition ( Table 8.3).

Good Morning
Normally BQ24030RHLR IC battery charging(BAT) current is 1A. Is it possible to reduce the battery charging(BAT) current value to 500mA?

Hello
Yes the battery charge current is controlled by the resistor at ISET1 pin, see section 10.4.4.2.
The typical Vset is 2.5V and Kset is 425, using equation 5 the Rset resistor for 1A output is 1k ohms. For 500mA the value is 2.12k ohms.
