UC3825: Minimum duty spac

Part Number: UC3825
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28950

Hi

Can I find the minimum duty of the UC3825 PWM IC?
If you have a product with a lower minimum duty, I would highly recommend it.

In addition ucc28950 will be applied to the next model.
I want to know the minimum duty of UCC28950.

  • Hi KIM Andy,
The minimum duty cycle of the UC3825 when employed in voltage mode control is zero. In other words if the E/A Out pin has its minimum value then no pulses will be generated by Out A at all.
In current mode control the effective minimum duty cycle will be a function of the power circuit, since it is normally necessary to filter the leading edge spike on the current sense signal, before feeding this into the ILIM pin. In this case the minimum duty cycle from the Out A/B pins will depend upon any driver delay network and the filtering applied to the current sense signal. As you can see, from the datasheet, the delay from current sense input to Out A/B is just 50ns (typical) within the controller.
Please post another question regarding the UCC28950 since I am not familiar with this part.
    Thanks
