TPS62040: Softstart Issue

Part Number: TPS62040

Dear TI,

We will contact you regarding the Softstart.

The circuit configuration is as follows.

The problem was that the start was delayed than the existing product(EUP3412).

1. 1.35V : EUP3412 (Power Sequence)

2. 1.35V : TPS62040 Power Sequence

What do I need to do to change the start time?

.

  • Hi BJ,

It's not clear what your question is. Is the TPS62040's output voltage 1.35V?

    What is EUP3412?

As well, the TPS62040 is quite old and requires a larger inductor than the 2.2uH that you are using.
  • Dear Chris,
The competitor's product(EUP3412) has been discontinued and the Pin-to-Pin capable TPS62040 has been used.
Currently, is there a way to get a quick start on the problem that 1.35V starts late?
Compared to existing products, TI products are slow to respond at startup.
    Can you fix this?
  • Hi BJ,

Thanks for explaining what EUP3412 is.

What exactly would you like to change? The 2 waveforms are at different timescales and volts/div, and the cursors don't seem to be measuring something. It is not clear what you need.
