Dear Benjamin Lough,

Since question was about SIMPLIS, here post was.

We are using the SIMPLIS model, but there is only a transient model.
Is there no AC analysis model?

Is there any way to calculation formulas AC analysis other than offering with SIMPLIS?

Are there any calculation formulas for AC analysis, transfer functions?

This question is same customer.

Hi Bob,

Thanks for your interest in UCC256301. We do not have an AC analysis model for this controller at the moment unfortunately. We do have a design calculator which can help calculate power stage design parameters. The calculator can be found here:.

There is also a webench model available. The webench model is able to show some data at different operating points of the converter. The link for the webench model is on the right side of the UCC256301 tools/software page:

In the data sheet 6.3.1 Hybrid Hysteretic Control item description
『Comparing with traditional frequency control, it changes the power stage transfer function from a 2nd order system to a 1st order system, so that it is very easy to compensate.』

In the datasheet description 1st order system,but is there this formula?

Is there measurement data of the evaluation board when there is no formula?

Hi Bob,

We do not have the power stage fomula derivation at this time. We are planning to have an application note addressing compensation at a later date.

There is loop measurement data on the UCC25630-1EVM. You can find the data in section 9.9 of the user guide:www.ti.com/.../sluubq8b.pdf.

Hi Bob,

The "Simplified Equivalent Circuit Model of Series Resonant Converter" is applicable to direct frequency control but this would not accurately represent hybrid hysteretic control unfortunately.

Could you email me your customer's design requirements? Have they selected a power stage for their LLC yet?
