Hi team,

Could you let me know how to reduce the sw ringing of TPS57114-Q1?

RC snubber is added but the result is not good, it's hard to reduce the overshoot and undershoot at the same time. For SW undershoot, do you have any workarounds?

Dongbao,

An RC snubber can be effective, but it must be tuned. See this document:

1464.RC Snubber.pdf

Also, layout can have an effect. Make sure to keep the circulating current loops on the input and output as small as practical.

Hi John,

The critical current loop in minimized and many kinds of RC are tried, however, the sw ringing is still hard to reduce to accept level. For boot strap resistor mentioned in the rc snubber.pdf, below e2e reply is not recommend to use.

From our test result, rc snubber seems to works for only one of the overshoot and undershoot, what do you think?
