BQ76PL536: Parallel Cell Connection

Hi,

I would like to use the BQ76PL536 IC. I see you can connect 6 cells in series.

If our pack has 6 cells in series and 3 in parallel, do we need to use 3 IC's for all 18 cells?

Or can we chain the parallel cells to just one IC. Thanks,
