TPS62480: About UVLO with hysteresis

Part Number: TPS62480

Hello,

Regarding to UVLO on TPS62480, my customer is asking a question.

(Question)

According to datasheet page5, VUVLO is described as following.

In this case, rising input voltage will be 2.4V(min), 2.5V(typ), 2.6(max).

My understanding is correct?

(rising input = falling input + hysteresis)

  • Hello Tao,

it's my pleasure to support you.

    As the datasheet states:

    "7.3.9 Undervoltage Lockout (UVLO)
The undervoltage lockout prevents misoperation of the device, if the input voltage drops below the UVLO
threshold which is set to typically 2.3 V. The converter starts operation again once the input voltage exceeds the
threshold by a hysteresis of typically 200 mV."

So your understanding seems correct. Though, also the hysteresis is specified as a typical value, which means it is valid for Vin=3.6V and Tj=25 degC.

  • Hello Emmanuel,

I informed to my customer and they could understood about UVLO.

    Many thanks!
