Dear expert,

I have designed a PoE buck converter with TPS23750.

In TPS23750EVM-107, there are no specific input voltage.

I would like to double check it with you, what is the input range of aux power in TPS23750EVM-107?

Hi Ben!

The TPS23750EVM-107's adapter was designed only for an input range similar to PoE (37-57V). Ideally 48V adapters.

Hi Darwin,

I have another question about this form customer. Can I use 12V adapter for Oring option 1?

According to datasheet, Vaux supply voltage is 9~11V. Does that means 12V source can drive internal circuit of TPS23750?

If it can't, please let me learn from you the reason.

Or Can we use 12V input for option 1 by modifying external components? If it is possible, please let me know how to do it.

Hi Ben,

Unfortunately, for the TPS23750, it cannot do Option 1 ORing at 12V (only 48V adapters) due to the VDD-VSS UVLO constraint. If low input voltage option 1 oring is needed, it is recommended to use the TPS23756 which has the PPD function (designed for lower input option 1 ORing). However, note that it will be limited to ~10W applications due to the limited current limit. This is why most applications use 12V option 2 or option 3 ORing.
