BQ25600D: BQ25600

Part Number: BQ25600D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25600, BQ25601, BQ25895

Hi,

We are planning to use BQ25600 PMIC in one of our battery operated vibration sensor .

we are in doubt about vibration acceptance of   BGA package of BQ25600, ( vibration will goes up to  16g continuously).

please confirm ,

if BQ25600 is not the part number used for vibrating condition please suggest alternate part number with SHIP mode ,option .

Battery details are mentioning below.

1. Nominal voltage. : 3.7V
2. Nominal capacity. : 4.4AH
3. Full Discharge voltage (min). : 3.0V
4. Full charge voltage (max). : 4.20V
5. Constant Discharging current (max) : 1.1A

  • Hi James:

We do not have test data to support any conclusion. This is mechanical question, depending on the IC soldering quality, connectors on board and also battery. From soldering point of view, QFN package might be better but I do not data to support this point. bq25601 is in QFN package.
  • Hi Mao,

    Thanks for your reply,

As per your comment we are going with bq25601

I have one doubt in this chip,

Is battery voltage is available through I2C ?

If available  which register need to read.

    Please confirm.

  • Hi James:

The battery voltage is programmable in REG04. But we do not have ADC in bq25601 to customers to read the data. bq25895 build in ADC, you can look up the datasheet.
