Hello guys,

One of my customers is looking for a AC/DC LED driver IC has 15~35W capavility and PFC. I reccommended them TPS92314A. Their answer was that the device function and wattage capability were good for their products. But they are considering using LYT0006D LED driver module IC (Power Integrations) now because the device external parts count is smaller than TPS92314A.

Do you have any device which uses lower exteernal parts count than TPS92314A? No Isolation device is OK. Could you please tell me any recommended device or any new device release plan if you have?

Hello,

The Power Integrations part is a non-isolated part. It also has an internal MOSFET. The non-isolated parts we have will need an external MOSFET but that doesn't mean it's a less cost effective solution. It also keeps the heat dissipation of the MOSFET outside of the IC. I would look at the TPS92074, TPS92075, LM3445, possibly the TPS92560/561.
