LM5180: Transformer compatibility

Hi,

My customer wants to use LM5180 for a power adapter.

Vin 24VDC
Vout 15VDC
Iout 250mA

He was wondering if 750315490 transformer (50uH, 1.4A saturation current, 1:1 turn ratio) is compatible with LM5180. Is there something to worry about while selecting transformers?
How much should the minimum base load be?

Hi,

Yes, i would choose a transformer with a higher current saturation since the current limit for the LM5180 is 1.65A
In the EVM, i believe we use transformer with 2A saturation current

Hi Arief,

In the EVM, the transformers used have a turn ratio of 3:1 ratio. Moreover, the datasheets are no where to be found.

The required parameters are
Vout - 15V
Isolation - 2.5 to 3.25 KVAC

Do you know any transformer for the ratings?
