PTN78020W: Switch Output voltage on during operation

Hi,

We like to switch the output voltage of PTN78020W between two levels.

We will be changing the Vo adjust resitors values for this.

The device will be working on a particular voltage during the change. The SPDT switches (Like : TS5A3159) will be used for changing the Resistor values.

Please let me know that the voltage change is possible during operation.

What are the points I need to consider for this operation

    Hi Rejeesh,

    Can you provide me the schematic you are using to implement the SPDT? The only thing I can think of is when you transition from a high output voltage to low output voltage if you don't have any load resistance the output voltage will slowly discharge to the lower voltage based on the RC values. It might be necessary to implement a dummy load to help aid in the output voltage transient.

    I will share the schematic before the same I have a doubt.

    What will be the voltage I can expect on the Vo Adjust pin.

    This information is required for the selection of switch.

    Hi Rejeesh,

    The internal voltage reference is fixed to 1.25V. This is the voltage you would expect to see on Vo Adjust pin(4).
