LM25119: LM25119 issue

Part Number: LM25119
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC27714,

Hi, now our customer uses LM25119+ UCC27714 to design Vin: 80V-130V, Vout: 62VDC,Io:20A; Constant voltage constant current output mode ,now they meet same questions as follow and need support need ,could you help check it,tks!

1. What is the maximum voltage of the COMP pin?
2. What is the maximum power supply for this IC?
3. How to deal with the actual uneven flow of the two products when used as a staggered configuration?
4. In the actual debugging, when the output increases the load continuously, the voltage value of the COMP pin gradually rises, and does not rise after reaching 2V. At this time, the output power is limited. How to continue to increase the output power?
5. Is the CSG and CS pin current detection used only for overcurrent protection?
6. How to implement this IC ramp compensation?
7. Can you provide a copy of the FAQ manual for this IC power supply design for reference?

  • Hello,

    1. What is the maximum voltage of the COMP pin?
A: I don't have exact number. Probabaly the maximum voltage of COMP pin is around 2.5V.

    2. What is the maximum power supply for this IC?
A: If external driver is used, the power loss on LM25119 is very small. It should not be a concern.

    3. How to deal with the actual uneven flow of the two products when used as a staggered configuration?
A: LM25119 is a peak current mode controller with current sharing function.

    4. In the actual debugging, when the output increases the load continuously, the voltage value of the COMP pin gradually rises, and does not rise after reaching 2V. At this time, the output power is limited. How to continue to increase the output power?
A: Can you provide schematic in pdf fie, so I can take a look?

    5. Is the CSG and CS pin current detection used only for overcurrent protection?
A: The current signal between CSG and CS is used for current sharing between phases as well.

    6. How to implement this IC ramp compensation?
A: The ramp compensation can be achieved by RAMP pin voltage. Please refer to information on datasheet page 15.

    7. Can you provide a copy of the FAQ manual for this IC power supply design for reference?
A: The reference design and some application information is provided on datasheet. We don't have FAQ now.

    Thanks
