TLC5940: Programming flow chart versus datasheet

Part Number: TLC5940

Is the programming flowchart for this device that can be downloaded on the TI website still relevant? It doesn't seem to match up with what the datasheet for the part suggests. I am more concerned about the LOD Status Check. I have the Grayscale and DOT correction working correctly.

Hi Brian,
where the programming flowchart that you see?
For LOD status check, do you mean you want to use LED open detection function? If so, what is the trouble you have meet ?

The programming flow chart can be found in the "tools & software" tab in the TLC5940 part page. I am just making sure that using the flow diagram will work considering it was created in 2006. I currently am not seeing any status bit return back from the chip.
