LM5009: LM5009

Part Number: LM5009

I was reading in a locked thread for the LM5009 that conducted emissions may be reduced by adding a series resistor to the boot cap.  What would be an appropriate resistor value?

  • Michael,

I'd recommend starting with 10 ohms and going from there. We typically use between 2 and 10 ohms. Higher resistance means more power dissipation causing worse efficiency. But higher resistance means better EMI performance. You can try different values to optimize for your system.
