DCP012405B: Vout and Transformer

Part Number: DCP012405B
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DCR022405

Hi,

Customer considers to evaluate  DCP012405B/DCP012415DBP or DCR022405.

Could you please check questions below? The requirements is 24Vin, +/-15Vout. Iout is TBD.

#1. For DCP012415DBP, can we use under 24Vin, +/-15Vout condition?

#2. What is part number of the transformer in DCP012405B/DCP012415DBP and DCR022405?

#3. Do we have EVM for DCP012405B/DCP012415DBP and DCR022405?

  • Hi Hide,

My replies to your question listed below:

    1. Yes you can use the DCP012415DBP for a 24Vin, +/- 15Vout application. The maximum device output current fro this will be limited to 66mA to achieve a maximum Pout of 1W.
    2. Let me get back to you on this since I don't have the transformer part numbers readily available and would need to ask the design team about this. If you don't mind me asking, what does the customer plan on using this information for?
    3. Unfortunately these devices do not have EVMs. However since these are thru-holes you could get samples of these and easily test them on a breadboard.

    Regards,

    Jimmy

  • Hi Hide,

The transformers were custom made so there are not any equivalent searchable transformers. I mispoken when I said there are samples. Unfortunately any device in this family doesn't have free samples. You would need to order them and prototype as necessary.

  • HI Jimmy,

Thank you for your reply. For #2, the application is magnetic sensitive application so they care about this.

  • Hello Jimmy-san,

The board seems placed near high magnetic field. Are DCP12405 and DCP012415DBP performance data available if they are placed in DC magnetic field? And also it would be helpful if we can know what core material these device is using.

    Best regards,

    Toshihiro Watanabe

  • Hi Watanabe-san,

We have not done testing on these devices in a magnetic field The core magnetic material used in this family of devices is high permeability ferrite.

    Hope this answers your question.

    Regards,

    Jimmy
