Hi,
We'd like to use a buck-boost like the TPIC4100 to always keep the output voltage 5V. When the input is lower, boost it to 5V. When the input is higher, buck the signal to 5V. The problem is that it looks like the minimum turn-on voltage is 5V or higher, pretty much defeating the purpose for starting as a boost IC because you need at least 5V to turn it on. Thus, it's as if it's starting in a default "buck IC" mode. Is there anyway you can immediately boost the signal to 5V? Or is there a substitute part that can do this?
Thanks.
