UCC3817: design of 1.5kw Boost pfc

Is extra Driver IC requied for a design of (Output Power -1.5KW, Output Voltage - 425V ) boost PFC using UCC3817 ?.

Hi Bharat,

UCC3817 has an onboard totem-pole MOSFET gate driver capable of delivering 1.2 A of peak current on DRVOUT Pin. So extra driver is not required for UCC3817 application. And please note that a series gate current-limiting/damping resistor is recommended.
