Hello,
If I pull the DT pin to VCCI, and I connect the two outputs together (VDDA to VDDB, OUTA to OUTB, and VSSA to VSSB), is it safe to operate in this configuration? I propose doing this to cut the the driver output resistance in half by operating the two outputs in parallel.
Hi Anthony,
I'm an applications engineer in the high power drivers group and can help you with your question.
The short answer is: Yes. Due to the best-in-class propagation delay matching performance, the outputs can be paralleled to generate higher output drive strength.
If you'd like to learn more about this feature, feel free to read through the SLUA778A application report, particularly section 5, to learn more about how the device performs when outputs are paralleled.
Feel free to follow up with any more questions.
If this helped solve your question, can you please press the green button?
Thanks and best regards,
John
