Recommendation for 3:1 power path

Hello,

I'm looking for a recommendation for a power path with three inputs: DC (from AC/DC) [15V], Battery-1 [12V] and Battery-2 [12V]. The current for each rail is around 10A.

Perhaps something similar than TIDA-00394, with two batteries.

Any suggestions?

Would this be an application where you are monitoring the main DC rail, and when there is an UV detection, you would switch to the backup batteries?

If so, we don't have a specific board or reference design for this, however you should still be able to use the TPS3701 in this application.

About your question, yes, the application must be monitoring all the rails. When there is an UV (and OV) detection, the system must switch according with a defined priority. Based on this, could you suggest another approach?

I think you can still follow the design guidelines from the application using the TPS3701, and feed the UV/OV detect output into a priority encoder, which can tell your system/MCU to switch to the appropriate battery.
