LM25119: Supporting Iout 80A capability

Hi experts from TI,

Needing information about if LM25119 can support below requirement or not? 

  • Input 12Volts(typ)
  • output 7~10Volt
  • Iout, upto 80+ Ampere(const)
  • two-phase interleave configure

    Hi Zhipei,

    The forced HO Off-time of LM25119 is up to 430ns. This spec is available on datasheet page 7.
    To meet high duty circle requirement at 12Vin, 10Vout, the switch frequency needs to be 200kHz or below.

    For 80A load, I suggest to use 2xLM25119, 4phase configuration.
    If you use 2phase, the phase current is 40A, the inductor size, power loss on inductor, FET and sensing resistor will be very large.
