LM2682: Part recommendation for dual output, 8.5V 20mA & -10V 2mA

Part Number: LM2682
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2775, LM2681

Hi team,

do we have any part to implement below function?

Vin=3.3V/5V

Vout1=8.5V 20mA,Vout2=10V 2mA

  • Sorry, let me clarify. Vout2 is negative 10V

    Vin=3.3V/5V

    Vout1=8.5V 20mA,Vout2= -10V 2mA
  • Hi Hollis,

    I don't think this can be done by a single charge pump device. You need to consider cascading the charge pumps. The LM2682 is an inverting voltage doubler device. It can be used to generate -10V from a +5V rail, so you need first to produce a regulated +5V from your 3.3V input.

    You may consider the following:
    (1) Use an LM2775 to produce +5V from your unregulated 3.3V/5V source.
    (2) Feed the LM2775's 5V output to the input of an LM2682 to produce -10V.
    (3) Feed the LM2775's 5V output through a diode into an LM2681 to produce +8.5V.

    Hope this clarifies.
