Can I get a recommendation for a boost chip?
I am trying to make a stable 12 V power rail from a 5V/2A power supply for an audio amplifier. The LMR62421xsddemo has enough average power for the circuit, but when a song hits a heavy bass notes at full volume the power rail collapses. In my mind, this is a peak power problem and I need a way to improve transient performance on the boost circuit.
I ordered the LMR62421 Evaluation Module and I added 2x 620 uF Caps to the output, but the supply still collapses with heavy bass notes.
Is there another part recommendation? Maybe I need a 2 phase Boost?
