SG2524: Buck converter driving

Part Number: SG2524

Hello,

I'm working on a simple 100W (30V input and 50V output) buck converter where i have used sg2524 regulator, i have  some questions related to the converter high side MOSFET,..

Do i need to add a driving circuit or the PWM regulator is enough  ?

Does this regulator support folating source driving or i need to add a high side gate drive mechanisme ?

My last question is about isolation, how can i isolate this regulator from my power circuit ?

Thank you for your help.

Kind Regards.

  • Hello,

It needs external drivers since there is no integrated driver inside SG2524.
SG2524 is designed for Single-Ended or Push-Pull Applications, which doesn't contain a high side driver. the source electrode shouldn't be floating. you can refer to the driver in typical applications in the datasheet.
i am not clear about your request that how to isolate the device from PSU, This device is located in the primary side, it can be used for isolated topology.

    Regards,
    Teng
