LM22670: Short 7pin(Vin) and 8pin(SW)

Hi team,

My customer tested to short 7pin(Vin) and 8pin(SW) with LM22670-5.0(HSOP). The condition is Vin=24V, Vout=5.0V.

As a result, the device got burn. I believe that the 24V is conducted to FB-pin and it exceeded FB-pin abs max of 7V.  Is my understanding correct?

If there is any countermeasure to prevent the burn when shorting 7pin and 8pin, could you tell me it?  If there is no countermeasure, I would recommend LMR33630 to customer.
