Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61220,
The circuit is seeing an inrush current of up to 200mA when enabled, which is causing a significant voltage drop on the Alkaline batteries powering the circuit. This is causing a brownout reset on the MCU when Vcc dips below 1.8VDC. This occurs when the 2 series alkaline batteries are at 2.85VDC or below. I need these batteries to work down to 2.0VDC.
The issue is due to the series resistance of the batteries (and/or path between batteries and inductor) being too high for the inrush.
Any ideas on how to solve this?
- Is there a pin compatible version of the TPS61220/TPS61222 without pass-through?
how low can the value of the cap tied to Vout be (if this could help)? Currently 4.7uF.
