LM5119Q: Capability to use as 4-phase non-synchronous boost controller

Hi all,

I would like to know that 2x LM5119Q can be used as 4-phase non-synchronous boost controller or not. The HOx FET of each device is replaced with diodes. Vin of 60V is needed but there is only LM5122-Q1, whose number will be 4 for realizing 4 phase.

    Hi RYO,

    In boost converter, Vout=Vin/D, here D is high-side duty circuit.
    LM5119 is a buck controller, Vout=Vin*D.
    Therefore LM5119 can not be used in boost converter.

    I would suggest to go with LM5122-Q1 or other boost controller.
