LM2766: LM2766 : Recommend smaller diode than MBR0520LT1 ?

Hello Team,

My customer is going to use our LM2766.

Data sheet recommends MBR0520LT1. However his board space is limited and hope to use smaller one.

Can we recommend other smaller equivalent diode in combination with LM2766 ?

A search for 500 mA SC-79 (SOD523) Schottkys on some distributor's website gives, e.g., NSR0520V2, BAS52-02V, or PMEG3005EB. Or some really small SOD962, such as PMEG2005ESF.

Thank you Clemens for helping with answers. The diode is just used (conducts) for start up so it can be as small as those in the package of SC-79/SOD523. The SOD962 appears to be too small to me :-), although it may work.
