BQ34Z950: How to reduce charging current

I am using  IC BQ34Z950 with 4 LI-ION cell in series, it take charging current 1A I want to reduce charging current please tell me the which parameters are need to changes in my parameter file please help me out.

    Use BQEVSW with the device connected and modify Data Flash > Charge Control > Fast Chg Cfg > Fast Charge Current or other charging parameters as required by your application.

    Thanks for reply I will reduce my fast charge current can you please help me regarding battery capacity, whenever I charge battery 100% then after relax time it is 96% can you please tell me what should i do for avoid this kindly help me.

  • Hi Shalini,

    I would expect it to get stuck at 99% before 96%. By setting FC set% = -1 the full charge termination will be based upon the current taper of the cell. This should hopefully resolve the issue.

    Set FC set% = -1 the full charge termination will be based upon the current taper of the cell. Next, re run the test a log in 1 second intervals. Hopefully the issue will be resolved.

    If the issue persists, send the log.
