TPS562200: Enable control for TPS562200

Part Number: TPS562200

Dear Team,

I have a couple of some questions for TPS562200.

On the datasheet(page 4), there is an exlaination for enable control of TPS562200 as the below:

"Active high and must be pulled up to enable the device."

This means that user must connect pull up resistor through VCC, right?

Or, user must tie this enable pin to VCC without pull up resistor?

On your EVK schematic and appliconation information schematic in datasheet, 10K ohm pull-up resistor though VCC is connected to enable pin of TPS562200.

Best and Regards,

Kwangbog HAM

  • Hi Kwangbog,

EN pin could withstand the same voltage like Vin. So you could directly connect EN to Vin or any voltage level higher than 1.6V and less than 17V to enable device. 10kohm resistor is just used to limit the current to EN so it is not mandatory. Thanks!
