[TPS3870-Q1] RTM/RTP?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS3870-Q1

I need a Q100 reset supervisor that can monitor a 1V rail.  It seems like the TPS3870 is a good fit, but I can't design it in without knowing when it will be available.

Are there any other solutions that would be a good fit?  I looked but didn't see any.

Can you share any details on when these parts will be publicly available to a lowly catalog customer like myself?

Best,

Trey

  • Hi Trey,

Thanks for reaching out. the TPS3870-Q1 is on track to release to market on the second week of September.

Would September timeline works for you?

Please share more details about your applications needs

-Do you need Overvotlage detection only or window monitoring?

-What are the critical specs, (i.e. Iq, accuracy, size)

    Thanks,

    Antony

  • Antony,

I'm trying to monitor a 1V rail for a FPGA in a ASIL-D automotive application.  Ideally I would like window monitoring (both UV and OV) with my UV at .95V and OV at 1.05V.  I like the small size of the 3870 but can go bigger if needed.

Given that samples are available today, the September timeline is workable.  We are prototyping now, but hope to release our product in late Q3, early Q4.

    Thanks,

    Trey

  • Hi Trey,

I am glad to know that the timelines work for you.

Typically for ASIL-D all the rails need to be monitored either by a discrete SVS or by integrated ADC. if you are using an integrated ADC we could help you select the right voltage reference to achieve high accuracy.

please let me know how are you monitoring the other critical rails to better assist you with the complete monitoring solution,  if you feel the information is proprietary feel free to email me directly at antony.carvajales@ti.com

    Best regards,

    Antony
