Hi team,
I have one question about LM5155.
the condition is as followed.
VCC 12V
Vbias can be lower than Vcc
Higher gate voltage is needed, but Vcc must be lower than Vbias+0.3V.
Therefore, I want to connect VCC pin and Vbias pin by Schottky diode.
Could you tell me whether this way to use cause any problems or not?
Best regards,
Takuya
Hi Takuya,
Thanks for reaching out with you question.
It sounds like in your application the VCC voltage needs to be supplied by an external supply. To keep the for exceeding the device ratings I suggest using the following circuit. The diode on the battery voltage will block current flow if the VCC pin is higher than batter voltage.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Garrett
Hi Garret,
Thank you for answering my question.
I have one question.
Did you mean that we don't need to connect BIAS and VCC if we use SBD.
if we use SBD like the circuit you uploded and under the situation is Vbat = 9V and VCC = 12V, any problem will not cause?
Best regards,
Takuya
