Part Number: TPS61099EVM-023

TPS61099EVM-023 or TPS610995 are not working as per the specification given in the datasheet. After reading this document www.ti.com/.../tiduee2.pdf, I decided to use TPS610995 in the design. So designed board using TPS610995DRVR IC. Found the output voltage is ~3.8V whereas the product has a fixed output voltage of 3.6V. To cross verify if it is design related issue, I had purchase EVM also. Even the EVM output is 3.8V. This is a serious issue. Request to please help resolving the issue at the earliest.

Thanks for asking.

For TPS610995, it will enter into burst mode (PFM) to saving the energy with light load. The output voltage will be a litter higher than the normal operation. As listed in the datasheet, the typical Vout in PFM mode is 3.71V.

What's the input voltage and the load? Please share more details information with us, so that we may give some more suggestion.

Hi Minqiu Xie,

Thanks for the reply. At no load the output goes above 3.8V approximately 3.83V which is far above acceptable limit

Hi Saish:

What's your Vin range? As the spec list in datasheet is for Vin<Vout. And I have double checked with our bench test.

In actual application Vin is 3.6 volt. However with the EVB I had done test from input voltage 2.5 to 3.3 volt, still the ouput voltage is 3.8 volt
