Team,

My customer want to use TPS65286 for 4V_LED power.

Input voltage : 24V

output voltage : 4V

output current : 3A

L102 Inductor : 4.7uH

1. My customer don't using SW output and only using Buck regulator. Is there have any concern points ?

2. Could you help to review below schematic ?

Hi Peter,

1. It is okay for not using SW output. It's better to pull SW_EN1&2 low if you don't use SW output.

2. Same as answer 1, it's better to pull SW_EN1&2 low instead of floating if you don't use SW output. Others is okay.

thanks for your reply. There have one more question.

If not using SW output, how to connect 10pin, 11pin, 12 pin, 13pin, 14 pin, 26 pin and 27 pin ? floating is OK ?

Hi Peter,

For SW_EN (Pin12, Pin13), it's better to pull down. Others can be floating.

And for your schematic, you already connect SW_IN (pin16, Pin17) to BUCK output. So it must pull SW_EN low to shutdown SW output. Because SW_EN is internal pull-up to SW_IN.

One question: Why connect NFault2 to 3.3V?

Zhao,

1. Is it possible to connect SW_IN to GND or pull down ? If pull down also available, what's the recommend pull down resistor ?

2. As you mentioned, SW_EN (Pin12, Pin13) should pull down. what's the recommend pull down resistor ?

Hi Peter,

SW_IN and SW_EN can directly connect to GND.
