Can we use direct PWM control method to control LED current in TPS61163?

PWM frequency is 30Hz with 2mS on duty time.

No, TPS61193 can't support the direct PWM dimming method.

Can we pull down COMP pin as on/off control for BL LED?

For example, add a MOSFET to COMP pin, Pull COMP to GND as LED off, If MOSFET is disable, LED is ON.

Any side effect?

Hi Yihung,

No we don't suggest to do this, since the control loop is not very fast, it is not suitable to adopt this way for direct PWM dimming. You can check our LP8556/ TPS61177A/ TPS61187 which can support direct PWM dimming.
