BQ2954 Internal Reference

I am investigating the temperature reference for this device.

In figure 1 of the datasheet (the block diagram) the TS (temperature sense input) is fed to a comparator.  The other input of the comparator comes from a voltage reference block.  My question is is this derived from a band gap reference or is it divided down from the Vcc rail?

On page 9 in the section titled 'Temperature monitoring' the reference voltages are described as being

Vtco = 0.4*Vcc

Vhtf = 0.44*Vcc

Vltf = 0.6*Vcc

Which suggests that Vcc is divided down (and so eliminating inacurracies due to variation of Vcc when comparing to a thermistor divider network.  Is this correct?

Thanks for your help.
