I want to simulate the optimal feed forward comp network for the TPS61071 booster.

I have exported the design from webench and trying to replicate the load transient method from: TI Training home TINA-TI Video Training Series Power product simulation in TINA-TI(TM) simulator.

The simulation seams to get stuck under calculations, what am i doing wrong? It works perfect in the example from the video, but not with the TPS61071 model.

I look forward to any help you can provide.

OT: I cant get the Pspice model of the TPS61071 started in Pspice?

Dear User:

I checked the simulation model you attached. It seems there is an issue about convergence. You could set the load a little higher as Rload=100R.

Thank you for your reply.

I tried your suggestion, which got it to converge. But unfortunately it still takes hours to complete a simple transient analysis of 200us.

I should mention that, I am not an experienced user in the TINA software.

I have not been able to make TINA calculate it faster, is there a way that I can reduce the step size for the calculation points?

Normally, it will take less than 1 hours for basic function.

May I know the purpose for simulation? As different request needs different step size.

The purpose is to optimize the lead network for load regulation.
The first thing I am trying to do is to reproduce my measured results at the lab bench, which is a 80mA switching load.

Where can i set the step size of the calculations?

Dear user:

Normally, I use 20ns for max step size. If you need to do it faster, you could try little larger.

Besides, how about do simulation with WeBench? It would be much quicker if just check the performance around the boost converter.

sadly I can´t add components in Webench, the feed forward network is not in the standard TPS61071 schematic.
