TPS2120: Turn-on and Turn-off time

Hi,

My customer asked turn-on, turn-off time of TPS2120.

TPS2111A is checked in the datasheet as turn-on 1ms and turn-off 5ms.

How long does the turn-on, turn-off time take when CSS is 1nF or 100nF?

    Hi Luis,

    We do not spec a "turn on" time for this device as the Css cap is user defined. The device turns on in the following method:

    INx rises above UV and is considered "valid". An internal settling time (which is a deglitch time) starts to make sure that the input is stable over UV. 

    The device then moves into soft start where the slew rate is defined by the value of the SS capacitor.

    Table 1 provides the slew rate at different voltages for various SS capacitance.
