Could you help our customer how TPS62822 works when output inductor short circuit during normal operation.
I am thinking either the output current reaches to current limit immediately then TPS62822 works hiccup current limit operation or the output current quickly exceeds to current limit level due to the response slower then device will be broken.
Please let us know your suggestion.

When the output inductor is short circuited or in saturation, there will be a sudden increase in the current on the high-side FET. If it reached the ILIM for 32 times consecutively then the device will turnoff for 100us then restarts again with a soft start. Please refer to the section of the datasheet below.
Does the customer encountered device failure when the inductor is accidentally shorted?
